Testing Dates
High School End of Course Exams
End of Course examinations are given in specific courses. Students will take these exams in the year they are on the roster for the course. Further, the results of these examinations will be factored into the student’s grade at a percentage determined by the State Board of Education in accordance with T.C.A. §49-1-302 (2).
- The End of Course exam grade will count 25 percent of the second semester grade.
- Students will not be required to pass any one examination, but instead students must achieve a passing score for the course in accordance with the State Board of Education’s uniform grading policy.
Semester Exams
First Semester Exams
All exams are 20% of the semester grade. This is for all courses. Students cannot be exempt from 1st semester exams.
Second Semester Exams
For courses that DO NOT have an EOC exam, semester exams are 20% of the the semester grade.
For courses with an EOC, the semester exam is 15% of the semester grade.
Students who have earned an A the 3rd and 4th nine weeks in a FULL year course, may be exempt from the second semester exam.
