College Preparation Checklist - This government brochure contains a "to do" list, starting with elementary school, to help students prepare academically and financially for education beyond high school.
CollegeBoard - Register for the SAT, search for colleges and learn about financial aid.
CollegeForTN.org - Search for colleges, careers, find the cost to attend, and search for scholarships.
College Navigator - Search for colleges by location, cost, major, private or public, and many other ways.
FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students and parents are encouraged to create FSA IDs (fsaid.ed.gov) prior to October 1. Complete the FAFSA on or after October 1 of your senior year. The FAFSA application information is automatically shared with the TN Hope (Lottery) Scholarship, so you do not need to apply for this separately.
FAFSA4Caster - FAFSA4caster is not just for high school juniors. Parents of younger students can use the tool to receive early estimates, create scenarios based on future earnings, and then establish college savings strategies.
Fastweb - Great site for searching for scholarships, college information, financial aid information. Matches scholarships to your profile.
Peterson's Guide to College Information - Search for colleges by state, by major, and with other options.
StudentAid.gov - This website provides straightforward and easy-to-understand information about planning for and paying for college.
Tennessee Aid & Scholarships - A full list of scholarships and grants offered by the state of Tennessee.
